Meet Your Coach

Allan Cater

Hi, I’m Allan—a strength coach, personal trainer, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu athlete dedicated to helping people unlock their physical potential. My journey in fitness didn’t start in a gym; it started in the Army, where I served as a combat medic. I was always in the gym, always training, and before long, I found myself coaching my fellow soldiers, helping them pass their PT tests and become stronger, more confident versions of themselves.

That was when I realized something powerful: I love helping people push past their limits and see what they’re truly capable of.

After leaving the Army, I took a leap of faith into personal training. It wasn’t easy. I faced impostor syndrome, financial struggles, and the weight of trying to support my family while doing what I loved. I stepped away for a time, but I knew deep down that coaching was my calling. So, I went back—not just as a trainer, but as a student. Now, I’m on track to earn my degree in Exercise Science, working toward my CSCS certification, and refining my craft to give my clients the best possible training experience.

My Training Philosophy

I used to think that everyone had the same 24 hours in a day and that getting to the gym was just about discipline. But becoming a father changed that perspective. Life is unpredictable, and fitness needs to be adaptable. Not everyone has an hour to spend in the gym, but that doesn’t mean they can’t move, train, and improve.

Now, I train my clients based on their unique needs, goals, and time constraints. Whether you’re a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu athlete looking for strength and endurance gains or someone just trying to get active and feel better in your body, I create customized training plans that fit your life—not the other way around.

Who I Work With

  • BJJ Athletes – Strength, endurance, and mobility training specific to the demands of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

  • Everyday People – Parents, professionals, and busy individuals who want practical, effective fitness solutions that fit into their lives.
